I found some effective ways to share bedroom closets. The first thing I did when I realized I had to combine my space in the closet with my husband, was to buy a few items to put in the closet that were individually for me and for him.
I made a purchase of two shoe racks. I put a rack on my half of the closet at the rear end and placed most of my shoes I wear every day on the rack. I then put a gate above the far corner, and we placed her daily worn shoes on the rack. Any additional shoes that we had boxes, and we put her shoes on the shelf box at the top of his hand, and then did the same to mine.
Then we bought a piece of wood that we have reduced the total length of the closet and hung above the top shelf in the closet that actually gives us two shelves to put our articles. We put a blade in the center to separate the two sides and folded sweaters I STORE I keep in the top corner of my closet. Then we do the same for his extra sweaters that are folded.
For all our clothes, we split our pants and hanging files we had and my pants were hung next to me in the back, and were hung on the right in the backcourt. Shirts were then placed us and hanging in the closet; his were on his side in front of the pants and mine were made even on my side.
We then bought plastic storage drawers that had three drawers each per storage unit. We put a unit in the lower area of his side of the closet and one on my side of the closet. Any additional items that we have that we can not have space to hang, we store in plastic drawers on our various sides.
