Sammen med de offisielle søkerlandene Finland, Sverige storage shelves og Østerrike innførte den norske regjeringen EU-institusjoner og forhandlet om medlemskap i EU. Norge underskrev medlemsskapsavtalen på Korfu 24. juni 1994 sammen med de andre tre søkerlandene. Denne avtalen er ikke behandlet i samsvar storage shelves med norsk statsrett idet den ikke er avlevert til Traktatarkivet i Utenriksdepartementet.

CONSIDERING storage shelves that the Council of the European Union, after having obtained the opinion of the Commission and the assent of the European Parliment, has declared itself in favour of the admission of these States,
HAVE DECIDED to establish by common agreement the conditions of admission and the adjustments to be made to the Treaties on which the European Union is founded, and to this end have designated as their Plenipotentiaries:

1. The Kingdom storage shelves of Norway , the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden storage shelves hereby become storage shelves members of the European Union and Parties to the Treaties on which the Union is founded as amended or supplemented.

Assembled at Corfu on the twenty-fourth day of June in the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety-four on the occasion of the signature of the Treaty concerning storage shelves the accession of the Kingdom of Norway storage shelves , the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden storage shelves to the European Union ,

Det vises til anmodning om å få tilsendt Korfuavtalen av 24. juni 1994 om norsk tiltredelse til EU. Vedlagt følger traktaten og sluttakten, med underskrifter, slik den ble publisert i OJ C241 29. august 1994. Denne utgaven av Official Journal ble også samme dag utgitt som særutgave i norsk versjon. Vi beklager lang saksbehandlingstid.
