Jungle Book (original title Jungle Book) is an American animated cartoon from 1967, produced by Walt Disney and directed by Wolfgang Reitherman. The film had its premiere (in the U.S.) on October 18, 1967. It is the 19th feature film from Disney. The story is based on the book by Rudyard Kipling.

The story is set in the jungles of India. One day the black panther Bagheera an abandoned human baby in a basket. Because the nearest man village is too far away, he takes the baby to a pack of wolves. The child is accepted by them and raised. They name him Mowgli.
