Taran and the Magic Cauldron was the first Disney film in which experimented with the APT process, which served as a replacement for conventional xerography. However, the technique brought with it an additional cost. The film thus became the most expensive film of 1985. [1]. Also was Taran and the Magic Cauldron first Disney movie that computer animation was used.
During the production book ends originated at Disney whether the film would probably be for the target audience. Too grim Therefore, there was a lot in the script pruned book ends to remove. Too scary scenes Especially scenes with the undead army were cut out. Because this scene was cut from the film creates an audible gap in the soundtrack. Other deleted scene is one in which Taran kills an enemy with his sword, and one in which a man dissolves into mist.
