The Little Mermaid (original title The Little closet lover Mermaid) is an American animated film from Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 28th feature film from Disney. The story of the film is based on the eponymous fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.
The film was given the green light after the success of the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The little mermaid is often seen as the animated Disney film that revived again after several flopped movies from the 80s. The Little Mermaid is about Aril, a beautiful young mermaid, one of the daughters of the Sea King Triton. One evening, seeing Ariel and her fish friend Flounder on board a ship, the young prince Eric. Ariel is in love with him. When the ship arrives in a storm and perishes, she saves Eric from the golf and bring him safely to land.
